3/30/2023 0 Comments Returnal second boss![]() Eliminating this enemy will make your battles much easier in this biome. If you have a replacement gun ready, then this is the perfect enemy to use it. It is completely impossible to avoid all of these attacks at once, so you should eliminate Abyssal Machina as soon as possible. Unlike spheres, these lasers can also go straight through walls. There will be a kind of laser every two seconds and you will basically see the area covered by them after a few seconds. Whenever Machina can see you, it will regularly launch a series of blue orbs around the area.Īlong with that, it will also generate continuous horizontal and vertical red lasers based on your current location. Also, it only has one attack but this attack is a combination of many deadly things. Like the other Machinas, this machine can also teleport to a random location whenever it loses sight of you for too long. This is unlike the Abyssal Machina as it can easily deplete your full health even if you fight it alone in the area. In previous biomes, these enemies weren’t too difficult to deal with when they were alone. If you’ve reached the Abyssal Scar, it’s likely you’ve had to deal with a large chunk of Machina. You should take your time and shoot continuously the enemies that appear. If you let Anomos spawn because it spreads when you get close, you will probably get hit by at least one of them. If you don’t have the necessary replacement fire, you have to get close to the enemy and this can be quite dangerous. ![]() Most of the Abyssal Trichozoids you find in the biome will have a red barrier on them and this barrier can only be breached with a melee attack or Shieldbreaker’s alternate fire. This enemy will stop spawning Anomos if a lot of them already exist in the room.Īs soon as you see the red aura is small enough, start firing first above its head as this will clear the Anomos before they can spread. This aura shortens for a few seconds and then spawns enemies. You can tell whenever this enemy is about to spawn Anomos because you’ll see a red-black aura above its head. Trichozoid will spawn three to four Anomos every few seconds. Instead of being an enemy, you can also consider this enemy as the home of Anomos. This enemy is still in the same position and it doesn’t have any attacks that can harm you. You’ve never seen an enemy do anything like the Abyssal Trichozoid in Returnal. In these situations, you can slowly return to the previous rooms while killing enemies one by one. The problem starts when these enemies appear along with another big enemy and it’s hard to pay attention to everything. You will hardly take damage if you fight against three to four Anomos. If they miss you with a dash, they will immediately start charging another one. It’s important to note that these enemies are different from the Citadel Drones as they don’t shatter if they don’t hit you with their attack. It is important that you turn on your headphones and keep this sound effect in mind if you want to avoid damage from these enemies. Whenever Anomos lunges at you, you’ll hear a distinct audible signal resembling a snake’s hiss. If Anomos attack you with this flash attack, they will deal damage and shatter to pieces, which is why this attack is self-sacrificing. After charging, they will rush at you at lightning speed. When these enemies get close to you, their bodies turn orange as they charge up for one second. If you see the hostile symbol but can’t see nearby enemies, it’s likely that Anomos is below you. Some of them may also be below you, so it’s important to keep an eye on the minimap whenever you’re in Abyssal Scar. They will always be in a party of at least three and they only have one sacrificial attack.Īs soon as you enter the room with Anomos floating in it, they will slowly try to get close to you. You can tell them apart by their red faces and a few floating tentacles underneath them. How to defeat AnomosĪnomos is the most common enemy you’ll find in Abyssal Scar, and it’s a brand new enemy you’ve never fought before. If certain enemies come looking for you at the same time in this area, they can even make you fight harder than some bosses. ![]() In addition to having to get used to the high jump in this area, you’ll also fight a variety of unique enemies. You’ll find quite a few new mechanics in the Scar Abyss biome. You can find this upgrade at the end of the Fractured Wastes area and it gives you access to the final biome in the game.
